June! More colour, sunshine & joy-filled photoshoots ahead!

It is no surprise to anyone that I love colour and sunshine for my photoshoots! And so the start of this new month gives me hope that there will be a lot more of that for my sessions coming up!

I am very grateful to all who joined me for photos in the month of May. The weather was strange so there had to be some rescheduling but I really want my clients to have the photoshoot that they imagine. 🤗 So we patiently waited for the rain to stop and some warmer temperatures to come back! And boy was it worth it! I had so much fun photographing families and couple's with the gorgeous blossoms! It is wild how fast they come and go...

I had my own engagement photos taken right in that short window of warmth and I am so thrilled that it worked out! I have always loved lilacs and blossoms so I kept an eye on the trees in Guelph for the perfect time! We brought a speaker so we could play country music throughout the photoshoot (I highly recommend doing this) since Ben and I love listening to it together! 😊 And so we danced and giggled the night away! After all of my experience behind the camera, it was fun to be in front of one with my love! I am very thankful for Dianna (who assists me with most weddings) and that she gave up a Wednesday night to capture those photos for us!!

One Monday morning in May I woke up with the sun to beat the Toronto traffic for an engagement session at Humber Bay Park! I had so much fun strolling around with the sweetest couple and taking photos of them with the blossoms and the view of the CN Tower in the distance! 😍 It was such a fun adventure and I can't wait for their wedding this summer.

May was also a month of spring weddings!!

Congratulations to Alex & Wenonah! They got married at the stunning Cellar 52 in St. Jacob's. When Dianna and I opened up Wenonah's wedding dress bag to set it up, we were speechless! Her dress had flowers of soft purple embroidered on it and I felt like a kid giggling with excitement! It was so much fun to photograph and of course she looked stunning in it! I kept thinking that I was photographing a disney princess! ✨ They had a beautiful ceremony and reception at Cellar 52 and then they had such a fun dance party! We also snuck out to the bridge in St. Jacob's for some golden hour photos! I love when a couple is up for that! It is such a fun moment for them to disapear from the party to take a breather, enjoy the sunset and spend some time alone before returning back to the celebration!

Next up was Andrew & Kayla! They had a beautiful wedding at the Walper Hotel in Kitchener! Once again I was speechless at Kayla's dress- she also had flowers embroidered on her dress! But this time with red flowers!

If this is a new wedding trend, I am here for it!! 😊

They had a lovely brunch reception (which is a fantastic idea by the way- who doesn't love a good brunch?!). I had a lot of fun hanging out with their guests and also their sweet neices and nephews! The bride and groom are amazing people and I loved getting to know them through their wedding! Not only do the bride and I have the same first name, but also the same middle name! 😄 I think we were meant to find eachother!

I ended off the month with photographing the lovely Chad & Krista's Wedding!! Although it was cold and windy for photos in the morning, you would never know it by looking at them! We had fun taking photos on the trail in Drayton by the river. After their ceremony we went to Wallenstein Bible Chapel for the reception. They did such an amazing job on the decor! The head table was setup in the middle of the room with an arch overtop filled with grennery! I had fun photographing lots of candids of laughter and smiles as family and friends went up for speeches. Their food was amazing too! I love a good chicken meal and with that they also had cheesy potatoes and veggies! Yum!! The sun popped out just as they jumped in their car for their exit! A perfect ending to their wedding day!

June is going to be a month of family sessions and I am really looking forward to them all! 🤗

I will also be taking a few weekend days away from my camera and computer to spend some time with family and friends and to hopefully get out on the water with my seadoo!

If you are interested in booking a family session with me this summer I still have some availability in August and I would love to capture some moments for you!

Have a great week friends! And enjoy the sunshine! ☀️
