My Photography Journey this Summer and My Upcoming Wedding!

The past two months have been a whirlwind of beautiful moments and joyful celebrations! As a Guelph wedding photographer, I have had the incredible privilege of capturing so many heartfelt weddings, graduations, and family gatherings at so many beautiful locations around Southern Ontario. Each event has deepened my love for photography and reminded me why I do what I do. At the same time, my own life is about to change in a big way—I’m just a month away from my own wedding! This summer is shaping up to be a unique blend of work, love, and personal milestones.

Capturing Beautiful Weddings and Special Moments

Over the last couple of months, I have been busy photographing numerous weddings. Each bride and groom brought their own unique story, and I feel honoured to have been trusted to capture those memories! From intimate ceremonies to lively receptions, every moment has been a joy to document. 💛

Special Moments with Friends

In addition to my photography work, I had the incredible opportunity to be a part of two of my friends' weddings! It was such a special experience to capture moments for them, and being a bridesmaid allowed me to see the day from the other side of the camera. Celebrating with my amazing friends made the events even more memorable and fun!!

Stunning Spots for Photography Fun in Southern Ontario!

I had an absolute blast exploring so many beautiful venues for photography! Each place had its own special vibe that made every shoot a unique adventure. Here are some of my all-time favourite spots:

Bride in white gown and groom in dark suit embrace under pink blossoms in Shakespearean Gardens in Stratford, sharing a romantic kiss.

  • The Shakespearean Gardens in Stratford: This place is like stepping into a fairy tale! With its lush greenery and vibrant floral displays, it creates the perfect romantic

backdrop for any shoot.

  • The Guelph Arboretum: Talk about a nature lover's paradise! This tranquil oasis is filled with diverse plant life and scenic trails, making it a dream for capturing the beauty of the outdoors.

  • The University of Guelph: With its stunning historic architecture and gorgeous grounds, this spot offers a fantastic mix of culture and nature—perfect for some epic shots!

  • Grassroots Woodfired Pizza in Lucknow: Not only is the food here amazing, but the cozy, rustic ambiance is just right for capturing those candid moments that tell a story.

  • West Avenue Cider in Freelton: This enchanting venue features a beautiful willow tree, perfect for saying "I do" beneath its graceful branches. The surrounding orchard provides a picturesque setting for photography, and the amazing staff are always on hand to ensure a wonderful experience!

Each of these venues added a special touch to my photographs and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I can't wait to return to these gorgeous locations for more creative adventures in the future!

Working as a wedding photographer means I get to witness love in its purest form. I’ve seen tears of joy, laughter shared between friends and family, and quiet moments of connection that make each wedding special. These experiences fuel my passion and inspire me to keep improving my craft.

Alongside weddings, I’ve also had the pleasure of photographing graduations. These events are always full of excitement and pride, and I love capturing the smiles and achievements of graduates as they celebrate this important milestone.

Family sessions have been another highlight, allowing me to freeze moments of togetherness and joy that families will cherish for years in the beautiful, lush greenery!

A Summer Like No Other: Preparing for My Own Wedding!

This summer feels different for me in a wonderful way. While I will be busy photographing weddings over the next month, I’m also preparing for my own wedding day just around the corner. This means I might be a little quieter with my work as I focus on enjoying this special season in my life. 🤗

Excitement for My Wedding

I am absolutely thrilled about my upcoming wedding! I've received so many questions about my big day, and it has been so much fun chatting with clients about their weddings and sharing my own excitement. I truly appreciate the interest everyone has shown in my life during this exciting time!

Looking Forward to Sharing My Experience

After the wedding, I plan to create a blog post detailing all the special moments, the amazing vendors who contributed to my day, and of course, I'll be sharing plenty of photos! I can't wait to relive those beautiful memories and share them with all of you. Thank you for your enthusiasm and support!

August is my wedding month, and I plan to take some time away from my camera and computer to savour the moments as a newly married couple. It’s important to me to fully embrace this joyful time before the busy fall season begins! 💛

Fall Minis Are Coming

I’ve received some questions about fall mini sessions since I decided to skip summer minis this year. Yes, fall minis will be happening! I always look forward to this season because the colours and light create such beautiful backdrops for photos.

I will be sharing more details about fall mini session dates soon. If you want to be among the first to know and grab a spot, you can sign up to receive information directly to your inbox. These sessions are a great way to capture seasonal memories with your loved ones.

Enjoying the Summer Season and Being Present

Summer in Canada is truly special, and I hope you’re finding time to enjoy it with family and friends! 🤗 While capturing moments is important, I also encourage you to put your phone away sometimes and be fully present. Those simple, unfiltered moments often become the most treasured memories.

Personally, I love working outside on my patio under my big shaded tree with an iced coffee by my side. 🥰 It’s a small joy that brings me peace and inspiration as I edit photos and plan upcoming shoots! I am also a big barefoot girl—every chance I get, I have my toes in the grass and love running around with my cat!

Thank You for Following My Journey

I feel incredibly blessed by the work I’ve been given and the amazing people I’ve met along the way. Every wedding, graduation, and family session reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

Thank you for following along on my journey. Whether you’re a bride, groom, or someone looking to capture life’s special moments, I’m excited to continue sharing this adventure with you. Here’s to many more beautiful memories and stories to tell.

If you’re planning a wedding or want to learn more about my services as a Guelph wedding photographer, don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to connecting with you and helping you preserve your most precious moments!
