Fall Minis Are Back October 4 at Waterpark Acres!

Fall is coming, and I’m so excited to say that fall minis are back on October 4 at Waterpark Acres!

I can't wait to see my wonderful clients again and to capture some sweet memories together! After your photos, you can enjoy the campfire, take in the fall colours, and see the animals. It’s more than just a quick photo session. It’s a chance to slow down, make a memory, and enjoy a little country fun.

Join me for a cozy day in the country

There’s something about fall sessions that feels different in the best way. The colours are warm, the light is soft, and everyone seems ready for a fresh start after a full summer.

Are you looking for a little fall outing near Guelph or Waterloo? At Waterpark Acres, we’ll have such a beautiful setting for Fall mini sessions. Think fall leaves, rustic country charm, and enough space for the kids to be themselves. I love when sessions feel easy and natural, especially for families with little ones who may not want to sit perfectly still and smile on command.

Some of my favourite images often happen between the planned poses. A little hand reaching for a parent. Siblings laughing at each other. A quiet hug. Someone twirling in the grass. Those are the moments that make photos feel like yours.

These sessions are perfect if you want:

  • Updated photos before the holiday season

  • A short and sweet session that still feels meaningful

  • A relaxed outdoor setting

  • A chance to make a fun fall outing out of it

  • Photos with warmth, connection, and colour

And once your session is done, you don’t have to rush away. You can stay and enjoy the campfire, visit the animals, and take in the simple fun of being out in the country!

A little life update before we head into fall

The last month has been such a whirlwind in the most wonderful way!

I had my dream wedding and married my best friend. It still feels a little surreal to type that. We were surrounded by so much love, and the day was everything I hoped it would be. I’ll be sharing a post soon with more about the wedding day, including the amazing vendors and dear friends who helped make it feel so magical.

For now, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes, kind messages, and so much love during this exciting season of my life. I’ve felt so cared for and celebrated, and it has meant more than I can really put into words.

And to my clients, thank you for giving me some breathing room while I stepped away from work for a little bit. It was so special to enjoy those first few weeks of marriage without rushing right back into everything. I’m really grateful for your patience and understanding.

I’m back behind the camera!

As much as I loved taking that little pause, I’m also so happy to be back behind the camera again!

I’ve already kicked things off with some beautiful engagement sessions, and tomorrow I’ll be photographing a beautiful wedding. It feels like such a lovely way to step into this next season. Fall always brings a full calendar of love stories, growing families, wedding days, and cozy outdoor sessions, and I’m feeling so excited for all of it.

There’s something really meaningful about photographing people during a season of change. Maybe it’s the crisp air or the leaves turning, but fall has a way of making everything feel a bit more sentimental. It’s the perfect time to document where you are right now, whether that’s newly engaged, newly married, growing your family, or just wanting to remember this chapter as it is.

And if it’s been a while since your last family photos, this is such a sweet chance to update them without making it a huge production.

What to expect at the fall minis

These minis are meant to feel fun, simple, and relaxed.

You don’t need to arrive with perfectly rehearsed poses or matching outfits for everyone. Soft neutrals, warm tones, denim, knits, and layers always photograph beautifully in the fall, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and like yourselves.

If you’re bringing kids, please don’t stress if they’re shy, silly, or full of energy. That’s all part of it. I’ll guide the session, keep things moving, and look for the sweet moments that unfold naturally.

A few easy tips before your session:

  • Dress for the weather and bring layers so everyone stays comfortable

  • Choose outfits that move well and feel like you

  • Bring a small snack or water for little ones if needed

  • Arrive a few minutes early so you don’t feel rushed

  • Plan to stay after and enjoy the farm setting

The goal is simple. We’ll capture beautiful photos, but we’ll also make the experience feel easy and enjoyable.
