The holiday season brings a special kind of magic, and this year’s Christmas mini sessions at Wildfield Studio in Guelph truly captured that spirit! I want to thank everyone who joined me for these festive photos. It was a joy to see familiar faces and meet new families, friends, and couples who trusted me to preserve their holiday memories.
As I work like a little Christmas elf this week, finishing up photos to deliver in time for the holidays, I feel deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of so many special moments!

The Joy of Christmas Minis at Wildfield Studio
Minis are a wonderful way to capture the warmth and joy of the season without the time commitment of a full session. These shorter sessions are perfect for families, couples, and even solo portraits, offering a quick yet meaningful way to create lasting memories. At Wildfield Studio, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, holiday cheer, and the sparkle of twinkling lights!
Many families brought their little ones dressed in festive sweaters and cozy scarves, while couples shared quiet moments surrounded by seasonal decor. Even a few dogs joined in on some family photos! The studio’s setting in Guelph Ontario provided the perfect backdrop for these winter photos, blending indoor comfort with a touch of holiday magic.
Why Choose Christmas Minis?
Time-efficient: Sessions last about 20 minutes, perfect for busy holiday schedules.
Affordable: A budget-friendly way to get professional photos.
Festive: Themed props and decorations create a joyful setting.
Versatile: Great for holiday cards, gifts, or personal keepsakes.

These sessions are designed to be fun and stress-free, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the experience. I loved seeing the smiles and hearing the stories shared during each shoot.
Reflecting on the Year and Looking Ahead to 2026
This holiday season, I will be photographing a few families and my last wedding of 2025 (very bittersweet!), but I also plan to take some time off from editing to enjoy my own family. I also want to take the time to reflect on the amazing year I had and the wonderful opportunities that came my way before diving into a new year!

Tips for Making the Most of Your Winter Photos
Are you thinking of booking a winter photoshoot in the new year? Here are some tips as you begin to plan!
Winter photos have a unique charm, but they also come with some challenges. Here are a few tips I share with clients to help their sessions go smoothly and produce beautiful results:
Dress in layers: This keeps everyone warm and allows for quick outfit changes.
Choose complementary colours: Reds, greens, creams, and deep blues work well for holiday themes and also for winter photos.
Keep it simple: Avoid busy patterns that distract from faces.
Bring cozy accessories: Scarves, hats, and mittens add texture and warmth.
Relax and have fun: Genuine smiles and natural poses make the best photos.

Gratitude and Warm Wishes for the Holidays
I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has followed my photography journey in 2025. Your support means the world to me. Each session reminds me why I love what I do. Capturing moments that families and couples will treasure forever is a true privilege!

As we move into 2026 in exactly two weeks (wild, I know!), I am excited to continue photographing more amazing moments, from winter photos to weddings and so much more. If you’re interested in booking a session or want to learn more about my work as a 2026 wedding photographer, feel free to reach out.
Wishing you a safe, joyful, and fun holiday season filled with love and laughter! Take time to cherish your own special moments and create memories that will last a lifetime! 💛🎄
